ABOUT DIAL-A-DOULA

We connect women coming to the University of Michigan Von Voigtlander Women's Hospital for labor and delivery with trained volunteer birth doulas. We have doulas on-call 24-hours.

REQUESTING SERVICES

Our services are free to patients laboring and delivering at Von Voigtlander. We provide services on a first-come, first-served basis. You can request a birth doula through your nurse!

    • Labor position support and recommendations

    • Comfort measures: aromatherapy, massages, hydrotherapy

    • Breastfeeding assistance (if desired)

    • Support for partners, friends, and family

    • Providing information on community resources and referrals
